A special focus in Wolfram's career has been the issue of food security and access to healthy food. Over the years, Wolfram has come up with a few original recipes that he likes to share with others. "Despite decades of work in service of human and environmental health, it took me a half century to figure out that I had something called the metabolic system. Unlocking the keys to achieving optimal metabolic health has been an amazing journey - and it all comes back to my kitchen. I am so grateful that my Mother taught me to cook at a young age and to find pleasure in shopping for and preparing food for my family. One of my favorite quotes is by Eleanor Roosevelt: 'The freedom of man, I contend, is the freedom to eat.' I would simply add real food at the end of this statement."
